Meet The Doctor

drChiropractor Brenda L. Kingen D.C.

I was born and raised in small town West Branch, Michigan. At the young age of 6, I had my first experience of sick and crisis care while spending 4 weeks in the hospital with a ruptured appendix. The following year, my dad had to chase me around the local health agency that was vaccinating the community for an outbreak of Hepatitis A. I received the vaccine, but unfortunately I was already infected and had to spend the next 4 weeks home from school taking more drugs. Obviously, both of these experiences were very scary and inconvenient to a child. I am very appreciative of the care I received for I would not be here today without it. At age 19, I spent my first summer break from undergraduate school at home working a job at a local factory hanging 80lb. doors on a paint line while playing softball 3 nights per week, and every weekend. By midsummer I was experiencing intense pain in my right neck, shoulder and down my arm. My dad referred me to his chiropractor and my eyes were opened to the power of chiropractic care and the body's innate ability to heal itself, without the use of drugs or surgery. A few years later, similar symptoms occurred due to the repetitive stress of carrying my backpack at school, on one shoulder I might add! I chose to see a chiropractor once again. Struggling at that time to choose my life path (I was considering medical or physical therapy school), I developed a love for health, nutrition, and the benefits of chiropractic care. With over 27 years as a doctor of chiropractic, it remains a very fulfilling and satisfying feeling to help people get back their health and well being.

Chiropractor Michael Bucher D.C.

Dr. Bucher has a passion for helping others live their best healthy and happy lives. He became a chiropractor after spending more than a decade as a personal trainer and strength coach. His decision came after his own incident with back pain and a ruptured disc that “traditional” doctors and surgery was unable to help. His encounter was one that was all too familiar with healthcare providers that didn’t listen and did not try to help him understand his problem and the severity. After his experience he was left with permanent nerve damage he believed could and should have been prevented if he would have been cared for and treated properly. There is lots of misinformation about health that can be conflicting and confusing. Dr. Bucher thrives on helping his patients understand this information. He believes that we need to get back to basics with staying adjusted, active, and nourished.

Dr. Bucher is driven to be an advocate and to educate all his patients. His goal is to help his patients understand their problem, find the cause, and together find a solution. He believes that through proper spine care, exercise, and nutrition we can all achieve a state of wellness. Dr. Bucher studied Exercise Science with emphasis on strength and conditioning at Lindenwood University in St. Charles Missouri. He achieved his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Logan University in Chesterfield Missouri. He is skilled in many different chiropractic techniques (Cox Flexion/Distraction, Diversified, Thompson and Activator) Cold Laser Therapy to treat athletic injuries, arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis and other pain syndromes. He can help patients of all ages. Dr. Bucher spends his free time at the golf course or playing hockey. Born and raised in St. Louis he is a devoted St. Louis Blues fan. His home is full with his cat Peanut along with his two Great Pyrenees named Texas and Scoop.
