What is HCG and how does it work?

HCG is a natural hormone produced in the body. It has many functions and is used medically to treat a variety of conditions. It is the pregnancy hormone. This hormone allows the body to metabolize fat and use it as energy for both mother a fetus. For weight loss, we use only a very small amount of HCG to capitalize on this same mechanism.

How do they make it?

Homeopathic remedies are made from the elements found in nature--mineral, animal, and plant extracts are the base of these natural remedies which are then diluted through altering the degree ofconcentration to avoid creating side effects that can be disagreeable. Paradoxically, the more a homeopathic remedy is diluted the more effective a remedy will work.

There is a very distinct process for making homeopathic remedies.

For example, when making a homeopathic remedy which is of plant or animal nature, the extract, which is a soluble substance, is dissolved in a mixture of alcohol and water (approximately ninety percent pure alcohol and ten percent distilled water). Then this mixture is set-aside for two to four weeks. It is periodically shaken and then press strained once is has cured. This yields a remedy referred to as a "mother tincture".

The mother tincture is diluted to produce different remedy potencies. To do this you use one of two scales: the decimal (x) and the centesimal (c). An alcohol/water mixture is used for dilution in various stages.

Between each of the stages of dilution, the diluted tincture is succussed (shaken vigorously). Also, the decimal scale dilution factor is 1:10 and the centesimal is 1:100.

For example:

To produce a 1x potency of HCG, one drop of the mother tincture is added to ten drops of an alcohol/water mixture and is succussed. To produce a 2x potency, one drop of the 1x mixture is added to ten drops of an aolcohol/water mixture and succussed. The number of a homeopathic remedy shows how many times it has been diluted and succussed. For example, HCG 60x has been diluted and succussed sixty times.
